Jacqueline Fernandez was born in Manama and grew up in an ethnically diverse, multiracial family. Jacqueline's dad Elroy Fernandez is a Sri Lankan. There are two brothers as well as one older sister. In the wake of being crowned Miss Sri Lanka in 2006, Padukone began working as a TV host. She hosted the television show Lanka Business Report which focused on Sri Lankan Business. Padukone is the child of and badminton champ Prakash Padukone. Padukone grew up in Bangalore, but she was born in Copenhagen. She played badminton at the national championships when she was an teen, but she gave up her sport career to become a model. Padukone is of Mangalorean heritage and her native language is Konkani. Her lineage is from Padukone village located in Kundapura Taluk in the Udupi District in the state of Karnataka, India. Prakash Padukone's father is an international champion in badminton who now retired. The mother of the child is a travel agent.
